Tips to insuring your art works
Do you know how important it is to insure any painting or other type of artwork you owned that is worth even a little bit of money? Have you thought about how quickly a fire could start and ruin this art? Have you thought about how quickly someone could enter your home or office steal it? If you can't afford to insure it for its full value, then at least partly insure it. Here are some simple steps to insuring your artwork: Get the piece or collection appraised Get proof of its worth Photograph it and all copies of papers that show you have ownership. Keep these in a safe place. Call your insurance agent who handles your home owner's policy, first, for a quote. You may save money. Make sure you understand any policies you may purchase. |
